Asier is the CEO of Tecnalia Ventures, a subsidiary of Tecnalia focused on transforming internal R&D into disruptive technology based business opportunities. Tecnalia Ventures runs the largest proof of concept accelerator incubator in the country. Tecnalia Ventures also manages the portfolio of spin-offs of Tecnalia and serves helps on a wide range of technology transfer issues.
Asier has a wide international experience (Ireland, France, UK, USA, UAE, Turkey) working on technology driven large scale change management and innovation projects for both blue chip organization companies such as: Accenture; BNP Paribas; Thomson Reuters; Saint Gobain; Eli Lilly; Fidelity Investments; The Parthenon Group; Dubai Health Authority and start-up / SME companies also working in issues revolving around early stage funding and diversification.
Asier holds an MBA on Entrepreneurship and Private Equity from London Business School / Sloan MIT and has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the Basque Country University in Spain – ESC Reims, France.
Asier is a Professor at Deusto Business School; Cofounder of Business Angels Crecer + (Orkestra); former Director of Crecer+ Emprendedores (Orkestra); he is also a member of the Investment Committee of Microwave Ventures and Chairman or Board member of a wide range of Basque start-ups.
