Iñaki is lecturer on Smart Objects and Mobile App Development at the University of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain) and also CTO at Symplio, where he leads the vision for creating Internet-connected social objects. He is also in charge of managing innovation and R&D at the company.
Symplio transforms the user’s social network into an emotional living object that evolves silently, changing its external look, depending on what happens in the Internet. All the intelligence in its architecture is hosted in the cloud, thus being adaptable for every user and situation: the physical object is the front-end in the real-world.
Previously, Iñaki was Research Leader of the Intelligent Environments Research Group at the University of Deusto (Spain). He has taken part in cross-European FP7 projects related to mobile computing, and he has also managed cooperative projects involving smart context-aware objects, wearable devices, and mobile computing systems.
He has a PhD on Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.
